LPS was formed in 1984 by four former long-term Beckman employees who wanted to offer an alternative to the continually increasing cost of laboratory service. Customers responded enthusiastically to our high-quality instrument repair services and affordable rates, allowing us to expand our instrument lines and our service territory, including the addition of a Midwestern subsidiary, Technical Alternatives.

LPS and TA technicians are factory trained engineers, boasting an average of 19 years of experience in laboratory equipment repair. Many are former employees of Beckman, Dupont, Packard, and Coulter.
